Where is it from?
Osteomancy, or bone divination, is an ancient practice with roots in various cultures around the world. It dates back to at least the Neolithic period, with early evidence found in ancient China during the Shang dynasty (c. 1600–1046 BCE). Oracle bones, such as tortoise shells and large animal bones, were used for divination by interpreting the cracks formed when heated.
This practice was also present in African tribes, like the Dogon people of Mali and the Zulu people of South Africa, who used bone reading to communicate with ancestors and seek guidance.
